Recruitment of Constable (GD) in Border Security Force (BSF)

Application are invited from the Male Indian citizens for the post of Constable (GD) in BSF against sports quota on temporary basis likely to be permanent basis. These posts have all India liability and selected candidates can be posted any where India and even abroad. They will be Govt under BSF Act and Rules as well as CCS Rules..

Total 10 numbers of vacancies are to be filled up in following disciplines :

Eligibility Condition
Constable (GD) : Matriculation or its equivalent
Age limit : 18 - 23 Years as on 01/08/2009. Age relaxation as per govt rules.

Pay Scale :-
Constable (GD) : Rs.5200/- - 20200/- plus grade pay of Rs. 2000/-

Physical Standard :
a) Constable

ST / Adivases including Nagas and Mizos. 162.5 Cms 76 - 81 Cms Proportionate to height and age as per Medical standards
Candidate belonging to hill area of Garhwal, Kumaon, HP, Gorkhas, Marathas, Dogras, Sikkimies, Ladhakh, kashmir valley and North Eastern States. 165 Cms 78 - 83 Cms -do-
General category 170 Cms 80 - 85 Cms -do-


Medical Standard :
Eye sight : The minimum distance vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 both eyes with out glasses.The candidate must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision.

Method of selection : For all the selection will be based on test/trial.

Rs.50/- in the form of Postal Order or Bank Draft in favour of IG, BSF Silchar, payable at SBI Arunachal.( Bank Code No. 5541)
